What is the ideal length for a video?
There are many confusing messages out there about how long a video ‘should’ be – it all depends on where the customer is on their ‘purchasing journey’ and what social media platform the video is published on. We all know (from our own experiences) that these days attention span isn’t as long as it used to be!
How much does a video cost?
That depends on what you want; how much filming is required, whether the video will be ‘voice-over’-based and therefore needs a script, or whether it will be interview-based, which also makes the video more personal. Your video strategy might include a series of short videos published at intervals – but recorded at the same time. Or maybe you just need a graphic based ‘explainer’ video. There are so many options, which is why we offer a free consultation and a quotation tailored to your needs.
Can we use any of our own imagery in the video, such as still photos or video?
Yes, of course – send them to us and we will take a look at the quality and see how we might incorporate your own images/footage. Although it’s usually better, for example, to shoot the exterior of a property for sale during the summer months if this is not possible then we can use photographs that you did take in the summer – for example.
How long does a video take to produce?
It depends on the complexity of the subject matter. We will start by talking to you about your business and your current marketing activities/plans, decide on a structure for your video and then arrange to come and film your service, product or property (unless you are providing the imagery to us). The video material will then be edited with graphics (including your logo), and music added and you will be sent a private link of your video. If you need us to make any changes to the video, then let us know within one week and we will make one set of changes within the original quoted price and send you a new private Youtube link for your final approval before publishing your video. Depending on both your – and our – availability, this whole process can often take place within a time period of about three to four weeks.
Do I need to have had previous experience in front of a camera?
Not at all! Video is an excellent way to show the human side of a business – and for your audience to get to know and trust you before deciding whether to contact or buy from you, so ideally it is good to be featured in your business’s video – and we can help you with this. You can decide to talk ‘directly to camera’ or, alternatively, it can be easier – and more natural – for us to just record an interview with you. Either way, we will make sure you come across as authentic and confident to your ideal client.
If I don’t want to be in front of the camera, what are the other options?
Some people really, really don’t want to put themselves on camera, so, instead, we can write a script from the information you provide and we will record a professional voice-over – again in any language you require. There is an additional fee for this depending on the complexity of the subject matter – please contact us for a free quote.
Can I make any changes to my video?
Yes. Included in the original quote is one set of changes, which is usually all that is required as we will have spent the greater part of the production time planning exactly what is to be included in the video – so there shouldn’t be any surprises 🙂
What format will the final video be in?
Your video can be provided in a range of formats, depending on what you plan to do with it. Included in the original quoted price is a link to your video on our YouTube channel (VideoProFrance). You can use this link to share your video to your prospective clients via email and social media sites and we can also give you an ’embed’ code which we recommend you place on the first page of your website, so that Google’s search engine will rank your website higher. Alternatively we can give you a Quicktime movie or MP4 file that you can upload onto your own Youtube channel / Facebook page etc.
I would prefer to have my own Youtube channel – how can I do this?
Don’t worry – we can set one up for you! For a one-off fee of 90€ we will set up your own Youtube channel, upload your video to it and send you the link and embed code. Once your website is associated with your Youtube channel, we will also create a ‘clickable’ link on your video so that when viewers click on the video they will be taken directly to your video’s associated website – we highly recommend you take advantage of this.
Can my video be translated into other languages?
Absolutely! Any language you want! Obviously this is important for businesses with overseas clients – it also improves the global SEO! Let us know which languages your target audience speaks and we will send you a quote based on the language(s) you require.
How can I get my video ‘seen’?
This is one of the most important questions you could ask. If you don’t have a strategy for getting your video ‘seen’ by your target market, then it’s like going to all the effort of printing a brochure that you then keep in your desk drawer!
